San Diego Fisher House
Located on the grounds of Navy Medical Center San Diego, the Fisher House provides two homes for the families of our military undergoing medical crisis. The first home opened its doors in 1992 and the second in 2008. Both houses are comfortably furnished with 9 private guest suites, common kitchens and dining areas as well as laundry facilities and outdoor seating areas. The Fisher Houses are within walking distance to the hospital wards.
The Fisher Houses are a "home away from home" available to active duty and retired military, veterans and their families coping with the medical crisis of a loved one, have no local accommodations and are traveling a one way distance of over 40 miles. Currently all lodging costs are generously covered by the Fisher House Foundation.
San Diego Fisher House is part of the Navy Lodging Program, Command Navy Installations Command (CNIC).
